Jeju Day 1: Jusangjeollidae Cliff, Black Pork
May 18, 2017The main reason why I wanted to start blogging again is due to my recent Korea Trip! Was considering blogging about it on dayre but I don't like how there's a word limit and my photos have to be cropped into squares haha so here I am! :~) I was also contemplating between wordpress/blogger but chose blogger in the end cause wordpress has soooo little photo storage space!
We haven't gone on a family vacation for a very long time (I've been with my parents, but not my brothers!) so I was really looking forward! I remember sitting at the FAL looking for cheap airplane tickets and researching about my Korea trip 2 months ago haha crazy how time flies:)
I haven't been to Jeju before, which made me even more excited than I already was!
We had a transit at KL which I spent watching Riverdale (I'm hooked!)
Reached Jeju, collected our rented car before heading to our hotel
Hotel Rebero
26 kwandukro, Jeju-city, Korea
Tel: 064-757-7111
It was a very simple hotel, nothing fancy but was still comfortable nonetheless! It was near the shopping district but we didnt plan on shopping at Jeju and all the shops close super early haha there was a giant 24 hours supermart nearby though. Main drawback was how far it was from all the attractions haha we take approximately 1 hour to travel to our destination every day and I have the worst motion sickness so I end up sleeping on the car most of the time haha.
First stop was at Jusangjeollidae Cliff!
We didn't have lunch so we decided to grab some street food before we headed to the cliff! The shops were located at the entrance of the attraction :)
We were too hungry- took a bite before we took a picture HAHA
Jeju is famous for their tangerines so we bought a bottle of tangerine juice to try
Some squid snack in a cup - shouldn't have put the chili sauce!!! was still good though :~)
We were paying for our snacks when the shop owner started exclaiming loudly (in korean, which we did not understand) and asked if she could take a picture of the note. We were so confused then HAHAHA then we realised, it's a North Korean note. And none of us knew how we got this note HAHAHA
Edited: omg Han Wei just texted me to tell me it's a Taiwan note HAHAHAHAHAHA we are so dumb omg HAHAHHAAHAHAHHA SO EMBARASSING
Headed down to the cliff!!!!!
These pictures do not capture the beauty of this place!!!! (or maybe it's just my sucky photog skills hehe) but ahh we spent a good amount of time there and I loved it!!! :')
My dad didn't come along on this trip sadly :-( wish he was there with us!
The sun was shining in all its glory
We found a lalang field and of course I had to go check it out and take some pictures hehe :p
We didn't have a proper lunch so we were famished by the time we left this place!!! Found a BBQ place that sells Black pork (a must-try in Jeju!) and it was the best decision we made that day :~)
I LOVE korean side dishes!
This was one of my fave meals for the entire trip!!!! The service was amazing, they gave us free soup and the food + side dishes were all so so so SO yummy! :~) highly recommended if you're in Jeju!
Drove back to our hotel area after dinner :-)
Explored the area~ and got myself banana milk!! (The girls and I drank it every single day while we were in Korea last year HAHAHA) - decided to have an early night cause we were gonna climb a mountain the next day + we had a long travelling day:)
Shall continue with day 2 on the next post! :) x
